Gareth Toplis

Manager

Gareth joined Cognosis in October 2007 as an intern. Since then he has undertaken a wide variety of projects across different industries in the area of strategic marketing. In particular he has enjoyed focussing on the areas of portfolio strategy, opportunity scaling and marketing effectiveness in the drinks and services sectors. Most recently he has been working with a major brewer on capability development and innovation strategy

Gareth graduated in Classics at Oxford and went on to complete a Master’s degree in European Business at French business school, ESCP-EAP

He spends his spare time hunting for golf balls, driving through deserts and wishing he had done more with his hair in this photo.

Most likely to say: “Actually, the use of a split infinitive is a question of style—not grammatical rectitude.”

Least likely to say: “The colour scheme on that presentation is absolutely fine.”
