Joe joined Cognosis in January 2009, but has worked on projects with us for many years previously and was responsible for much of the EDGE quantified analysis. He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford with a degree in physical chemistry, and has advanced qualifications in economics and statistics. He started business life in advertising account management, but has steadily moved to applying scientific and economic knowledge and principles to consumer and business marketing.

He has been a board director of three advertising agencies and managed account, planning and creative teams, but is now doing what he likes best - creatively solving quantitative strategic problems and bringing an extra dimension of quantitative knowledge to Cognosis.

In his spare time he skis badly, likes photography, has discovered a late taste for opera, and enjoys being a new step-grandfather in limited quantities.
