Tom joined Cognosis in January 2010 from Moet Hennessy UK, where he spent 2 years as a business analyst working with sales, marketing & finance teams. Prior to this Tom worked for 3 years as a consultant with a technology consultancy focusing on online marketing and ecommerce.
Whilst at Cognosis Tom has worked on a range of projects for a number of clients largely focused within the drinks industry. Projects have included –
• Strategy development, communication & engagement: supporting leader teams in developing & communicating strategy.
• Brand / portfolio strategy: developing brand & portfolio strategies – role clarification, investment & resource allocation, opportunity identification.
• Competitor War Gaming: build competitor understanding, develop competitor-proof strategies.
• Market opportunity scaling/prioritisation; market development and entry strategy.
Tom has a 1st in History from the University of Leeds. Outside the office his interests include food and wine - Tom recently completed the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits, the benchmark qualification in the drinks industry. When he is not eating or drinking Tom is mostly found outdoors running, snowboarding, playing cricket, tennis, golf, cycling, surfing…
